Near to those who call

Before we really step into the Psalms, hold on to this promise: God isn't far away, waiting for you to figure out the right way to reach him. He is near, to everyone who calls on him, without demanding a certain level of prayer maturity first.

The only condition the verse sets isn't technical, it's sincerity: "in truth." It doesn't have to be pretty. It has to be true. And that is exactly the kind of honest prayer the Psalms are going to teach you, one each week, starting Monday.
